Within our firm we advocate and promote sustainable practices and materials to our clients and consultants on a daily basis. Our recent projects have included the first Nett Zero-Energy Certified Passive-House building in Canterbury as part of the Christchurch re-build and Hingaia School, the first 5 GreenStar As-built rated school in New Zealand which employs a number of sustainable features, including potable water recycling. Alec Couchman has an international reputation in sustainable design issues and is an accredited assessor in Australia and New Zealand. Alec leads our work in this area. Kevin Brewer is a Homestar Practitioner which is an important skill in obtaining resource consents in Auckland under the Proposed Unitary Plan.
