Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Pukemiro
Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Pukemiro is a greenfields Year 1 - 13 kura (school). The wharenui sits at the rear of the site and a central courtyard forms the marae-atea for powhiri. Working closely with tangata whenua to create a kura that reflected their cultural identity was a deeply rewarding process for us as architects. the kura was completed in March 2013 and received a Property Council Award of Excellence.
